Kota Doria is one of India's most distinctive weaves — identifiable by its fine, open square checks (khat) and its extraordinary lightness. Woven on traditional pit looms in Kota, Rajasthan, it is a fabric that has been prized for summer wear for generations. This hand block printed Kota Doria suit adds a layer of craft to that heritage.

The fine, translucent weave of Kota Doria allows natural dyes from the hand block printing process to settle with a luminous, almost glowing quality. Our artisans work carefully across each metre, stamping motifs with carved wooden blocks and a patience that the delicate fabric demands. The dupatta, in the same material, carries the same gentle printed detail.
